You might remember that Mother Nature hit the pause button on the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Great Strides Walk in Point Pleasant Beach a month ago. Well, the good part of that was the fact that it gave supporters an extra few weeks of fundraising, and now the event is on the horizon!

With a serious storm expected to linger over the shore for the weekend, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Great Strides Walk in Point Pleasant Beach has been postponed.

This weekend, rain or shine, hundreds will gather in Point Pleasant Beach to take to the boardwalk for an important cause - to help in the efforts to find a cure for cystic fibrosis.

  It's been called Ocean County's best kept secret, it's the Interfaith Hospitality Network and they are celebrating 20 years of helping Ocean County families. The Interfaith Hospitality Network is a foundation that works from several area church congregations and they provide a place to stay and food to eat for families who are facing hardship and they've been helping for 20 years now! ... As Toms River Police Officer Brett Hansen continues his recovery from an off-duty accident on January 4th, TD Bank branches throughout Ocean County will come together next week to help with the mounting medical expenses.

Over the weekend I had a charity truck come to my house and take away some furniture I was getting rid of.  It was a win-win.  They will sell it at their thrift store, and I’ve cleared space in my home. With the weather so lovely, did you find yourself out in the garage...
