Cell Phone

On this day in History ......

It apparently is huge Nationwide and totally accidental.

It's the fear of being without a cell phone contact.  I am so this...if I can't find my cell, I go crazy.

So I have a question for you..

When moving to a new house, there have always been two things you needed to do right away - change your mailing address and get your new phone number. A lot of people aren't doing that second step anymore.

We already have the "Do Not Call List" for unwanted phone calls, but what about unwanted text messages?

Has this ever happened to you - you're walking around, say, the mall or the boardwalk, you have your cell phone in your hip pocket, feel it vibrate, take it out only to discover that you didn't actually get a phone call or text message? You just got a "phantom ring".

Most of us have had this conversation - the phone rings, you say "hello?" and get nothing but background noise in response. Maybe people having a conversation, maybe office ambiance, maybe someone driving in a car. You've just been "butt dialed".

Remember the "civil alert" test text sent erroneously by Verizon to some New Jersey cell phone users on Monday? Don't be too surprised if you get one again Thursday, regardless of your provider.
