Getting yearly mammograms can lead to early detection, better treatments, and higher survival rates for breast cancer, according to one Rutgers breast oncologist.
This Sunday, October 20th marks the 25th Anniversary of Making Strides - Point Pleasant and over 20,000 people are expected to take part and raise over one million dollars in the battle against breast cancer.
While fighting crime is a main focus of what law enforcement in Monmouth County does on a daily basis, Sheriff's officers this month are supporting the fight against breast cancer during the month of October.
"All breast cancer survivors and a caregiver are encouraged to visit the Survivor Tent. Survivors will receive their 2018 survivor shirt, enjoy some special surprises, and be recognized and celebrated. We will also have a special activity for survivors.
