The father of the four-year-old Toms River boy, who fatally shot his six-year-old friend last month while they were playing outside, was expected in court today, but according to his attorney, he will likely not be there.
While the state awaits a decision from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s office regarding the murder of a Toms River six-year-old, who was allegedly shot by his playmate, many are asking why investigations get moved to other jurisdictions.
A legal expert weighing in on the investigation of the Toms River boy, who shot his six-year-old playmate believes the child will not be facing severe legal ramifications, and in likelihood neither will the parents.
He thought he was meeting a 14-year-old for sex last October. Instead, Michael Schiavo met detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and Hamilton Police Department. Now, he'll spend up to five years in prison for it.
