So far, Spring has been rather cool and grey. Aside from allergies, there haven't been too many obvious signs of the season quite yet.

The good news is that spring is officially only 3 more days away. The bad news is that allergy season has already started for some people.

It is definitely allergy season here in Ocean County. If your neighborhood is anything like mine, everything is covered in a light yellow dusting, and sneezing and nose blowing are the sounds of the season along with birds and other critters. Aside from prescriptions and over the counter pills, a lot of people have their own homespun remedies for allergy relief.

This spring's allergy season in New Jersey has been classified as "normal" because elevated levels of pollen began to show up as soon as the spring season officially began in March, but many Garden State residents report having the worst allergic symptoms they can recall.

You've probably stepped outside to the same scene in the last few days - a fine coating of yellow powder all over everything. Yes, allergy season is in full swing in Ocean County.
