In today's 50 Memories in 50 Days, WOBM Chief Engineer Tom Trembly takes a look back at the 4-way battle to build WOBM in the early 1960s:

It was Sunday, October 28th and we were beginning to get more of an idea of just how powerful Hurricane Sandy might be.

So many changes over 15 years, but there's been one constant - the love from all of you, the wonderful WOBM listeners who have turned into my family.

What I thought would be a temporary pit stop led to my settling in and calling Ocean County home. Instead of jetting off to Baltimore, Philly, or Boston (some cities I thought I might like to move to), I happily made Jersey my home. I'm grateful for the serendipitous meeting which led to an impromptu interview. I'm grateful that Shawn turned out to be an awesome partner and the station was filled with people I loved working with every day. And I'm grateful to have made a living doing two things I love, talking and playing music.

Only two days after Superstorm Sandy, a friend messaged me about a mysterious note that a friend had found in her home. It was the last plea of a dying man.
