4th of July

As we get ready to celebrate America's 241st birthday next week, we took a look around Ocean County and found that patriotism is alive and well here at the Shore, so we wanted to share just a few of those local symbols that stand as a testament to our pride...

It will be Beachwood's 77th Fourth of July Celebration!  Join us for all the fun on Tuesday July 4th, 2017 beginning at 7:00 pm at Beachwood Beach.

With the 4th of July approaching at a rapid pace (you can keep track of the countdown right here!), we've compiled a list of Independence Day celebrations throughout Monmouth & Ocean Counties:

Beachwood's 'Biggest Day of the Year' occurs this Tuesday, July 4th.  Celebrate America with great food, fun and of course fireworks!  Vendors will be on-site and Shawn & Sue will be broadcasting live beginning at 7 p.m., culminating with the fantastic fireworks display for the 77th year!

On the Fourth of July I joined in a conversation my neighbors were having about fireworks.  They had heard that some places in Europe are using only silent fireworks.  Curious about this, I did some reading online.  One town in Italy has a law on the books stating that only the silent variety can be used...
