Two men who broke into and burglarized a Barnegat house, then attacked a man inside this morning are on the loose. Barnegat police have issued an artist's sketch based on the victim's description in the attempt to track at least one of them down.

Barnegat Robbery Suspect (Toms River PD Officer McDowell)

According to police, the resident in the house on Route 9 near Old Main Shore Road heard a loud noise about 8:45 AM and found himself face-to-face with two men who had broken into the garage and were busy looting it.

He told police that one of the shoved him to the ground and raced off in a dark blue sport-utility vehicle.

The victim, police said, got a good look at only one of the pair. He described a white male in his 20S, about six feet in height, with a slim build and short brown hair, wearing a navy blue sweatshirt and light pants.
