Suspect Sought in Pt. Beach Jewelry Hustle

An individual whose credit-card purchase of a pricey Rolex in Point Pleasant Beach was rejected is sought on a charge of theft, and possibly identity theft.

Surveillance stills support the probe into the June 22 transaction at Gold Fever on Arnold Avenue. Authorities want to speak with anyone who recognizes the suspect.

According to investigators, the store clerk who conducted the sale of the $8,774 wristwatch processed the credit card and the lender reversed it. The suspect is believed to have used false identification.
