Brieon Thurston, 31, is in custody at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, with bail set at $250,000. Officers under Monmouth Sheriff Shaun Golden traced him to a bar in Newark Thursday.

Investigators believe Thurston left the state after the crimes. His brother, Neemiah, was arrested in 2011.

Sheriff’s Officers Randy Morgan, Sean O’Neill and Detective Keith Finkelstein from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office apprehended Thurston at Newark's XL Lounge. He was charged with pointing a firearm at another individual, possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon, all stemming from the two-year-old incident.

Also contributing to the investigation were Detective Sergeant Jeffrey Wilbert of the Monmouth Prosecutor’s Office, the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, New Jersey State Police and the Newark Police Department.
