One thing that we can definitely say about Ocean County is that we have a lot of options when it comes to food. And that's not necessarily a bad thing at all, but it's always really cool when a totally unique option shows up, and a first of its kind eatery is coming soon to the Lacey Mall.

Surf Poké is currently under construction, snuggled right in the corner between Dollar Tree and Schiano's Pizza.

If you're not familiar with poké, here's how Wikipedia describes the Hawaiian cuisine:

Poké (Hawaiian for "to section" or "to slice or cut") is a raw fish salad served as an appetizer in Hawaiian cuisine, and sometimes as a main course.

It goes on to describe the bowls containing traditional Asian vegetables and seasonings, and notes that, "the possibilities for variation are endless".

The Surf Poké website elaborates on what we can expect at the Lacey restaurant by saying, "at Surf Poké, every bowl is made to order, with fresh produce and the highest quality ahi-tuna, salmon, chicken, shrimp and crab!"

Need a tantalizing visual to go along with all of that? Their Facebook page has that covered:

The Lacey Mall location is actively under construction, and I'll be sure to update you as I get more information, and you know I'll be heading out there for a taste test as soon as they cut the ribbon!
