I am not among the 6% of people who will call out sick today from work because of a Super Bowl hangover which actually can be caused by one or more of the following:

  1. Ate too much
  2. Drank too much
  3. Did not get enough sleep
  4. Too happy because of the Patriots victory
  5. Too upset because of the Patriots victory
  6. Hit a big Super Bowl box pool and just don’t feel like working today

Super Bowl LI (that’s 51) looked to be a dud until Tom Brady played like a stud and guided the greatest comeback in the history of the game as New England rallied from a 28-3 deficit late in the 3rd quarter to beat Atlanta 34-28 in overtime.

The Patriots scored the game’s final 31 points and capped the comeback by scoring a touchdown on the only possession of the first overtime game in Super Bowl history.

Until Brady and the Pats worked their magic it looked like the highlights of the game would be the Falcons defense, Lady Gaga’s halftime show and the appearance of former President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara for the ceremonial coin toss.

As it turned out Brady and little-known running back James White were the stars of a long night in Houston and we indeed got a SUPER BOWL.
