Christine Karaska, Employment Specialist with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, advised coming to Saturday's event dressed for success with a smile and two forms of identification.

"I think that of all the ways of getting a job, this is the easiest. When I meet job seekers and they go online and apply, they never hear anything. This is the place to come, shake someone's hand and you have about about three to five minutes to convince them to hire you. It's a guaranteed interview," said Karaska.

19 employers will be on hand, looking to fill about 400 positions, according to Karaska. In addition to seasonal jobs, such as lifeguards, beach badge checkers and arcade workers, positions with restaurants, supermarkets, a nursing home, and the United Parcel Service (UPS) will be available.

"These are good jobs, and not just summer jobs. A lot of them are part-time, a lot of them are permanent, a lot of them are full-time. There's something for everybody," Karaska said.

The annual job fair is free and open to anyone ages 16 and older. It usually attracts 400 to 500 job seekers and Karaska is hoping for another good turnout for the 20th year.
"The key thing is to be able to stand in front of an employer and in a three minute conversation, give them a good reason as to why they should hire you," she reiterated.
Saturday's job fair takes place on the Boardwalk and Webster Avenue in Seaside Heights, Noon to 3 p.m..
