Sue’s Mommy Blog-Teacher Appreciation Week with Abby’s Teacher

She's the love of my life- fresh, funny, truly a wonderful little soul that brings me sunshine every day!  She's 11 and her life and what she does is just so funny, it’s too funny not to talk about or write about!  It’s all about sharing our adventures with you. Time flies.  Thanks for all of your advice through the years, Mom's we are never alone!

And, she gets in trouble for laughing and talking - A LOT in school!  That's my kid.

We have great teachers here in Ocean County!  I've had the pleasure to meet a lot of you with our school tours throughout the years.  There should never be just a day or just a week to "thank a teacher"  - it should be every day! 

The kids in your class think you're pretty amazing!  You are with our children for the most part of the day.  You play the part of parent, teacher, mentor, friend, and somewhere in there you teach them what they need to know.  It takes a very special person to be a teacher and this Mom thanks all of you very much!

I said to Abby last night, "Tell me about Mrs. Bowens..write something about her, anything you want."  Mrs. Bowens is Abby's 5th Grade teacher at Berkeley Township Elementary School.  Here is what she said...just to prove that kids love their teachers:

"I love Mrs. Bowens. I love her because she is so creative, helpful, hilarious, and so nice. She is creative because she makes up the best ideas ever. She is helpful because when ever I need her help with a math problem she always helps me with it. She is hilarious because when ever we are reading a book she always relates it with her life and her life is really funny. Last but not least she is so nice because her personality is just that way."

Mrs. Bowens and all the teachers out there...kids are honest, you change their lives, they'll always remember how you greeted them today, how you taught them that hard math problem, and you might not think it or feel it all the time - but you are very appreciated!  "Thank You"!!
