For the first five years I had a Mommy Blog about my daughter Abby’s life and what it was like for me as a first time Mommy.  Now she’s a 10 year old Diva and I’ve decided to bring back the Mommy blog. Her life and what she does is just so funny, it’s too funny not to talk about or write about!  It’s time to share our adventures with you again.  Wow, I can't believe she's 10 already.  Time flies.

Here we go fifth grade, time does fly by, way too fast.  It's a new year, a new school, and so many exciting things are going to be happening this year.

Abby was so nervous and I'm hoping she doesn't throw-up today for the first day of school.

I wrote her this letter last night.

And it's important to find the bathroom in your new school!  Don't forget that.

Your clothing is not most important to you, thank goodness.  But unfortunately your phone is.  Put it down!  Enjoy reading!  And enjoy mis-matched clothing and always be you!

Friends will be good and bad.  Be a good friend.  Your feelings will be hurt by some of your best friends. And always open your heart up to new friends. Give them a chance and maybe you'll be surprised.

Boys.. Just remember what I told you, no dating until you're 27.  Ha ha I wish it was that easy.  Boys can be the best of friends!  And right now as you enter fifth grade that's all you need to know!

I'm proud of you, I'm your biggest fan, and I will always be right by your side, even if it's not what you want all the time..but like I've said before, too bad..you're stuck with me!  Thank you for being such a great kid.

Be kind, be happy, and always be thankful..and your fifth grade will be the best year, ever!

Something Nanny always said to me.. Be nice to your teachers !!  I always thought it was so silly, but I'll never forget it!

My star- shine keep shining bright!  Don't let anyone dull your shine.

XO,
Mom

I can't wait to hear about your first day!

Good luck to everyone starting school today!  And remember, to all the teachers out there...we appreciate you everyday!  Hope it's a great year!
