EAST BRUNSWICK — The East Brunswick Police Department credited the internet and social media with helping to locate a woman suspected of hitting a jogger with her car last month.

Stefanie Susinno, 33, of South River, was arrested Thursday and charged with assault by auto and endangering an injured person. She was also issued motor vehicle violation for leaving the scene of an accident and failure to report.

The crash happened on March 16 when police said a champagne or gold-colored vehicle driving south on Old Bridge Turnpike hit a pedestrian. The jogger sustained injuries to their arm, back and stomach, according to police. Police said they found a piece of the front passenger side bumper from the vehicle.

Chief James Conroy said the department received "numerous tips," which helped them identify Susinno.

Police did not release an arrest booking photo of Susinno.
