Pet of the Week
These two need to stay together, but would love to live in your forever home!
This beautiful couple is Kozy and Tupelo Honey, an extremely bonded pair that came to us from the south with a sad story. They had a great home with someone that loved them and gave them a great life, but when he passed away suddenly, no one could take in Kozy and Tupelo. When their time was running out in the shelter in TN, we were asked if we could help. We fell in love with this sweet couple right away. Kozy is 100% blind and Tupelo Honey is his guide dog and best friend. Kozy is a 7 year old male and Tupelo is an 8 year old female. Both are cattle dog mixes. These two just make your heart melt. They are so friendly and lovable, and they make friends very easily. They're well behaved and gentle too, and don't seem to mind other dogs. Kozy gets around very well and has adjusted to his blindness just fine. He does count on Tupelo though and won't venture too far on his own without checking in with her. If Tupelo gets too far from Kozy in our exercise yard, Kozy will whine a little until Tupelo comes running over to let him know that she's still there, and everything is alright. These two have been together for their whole lives and we would never dream of taking them away from one another, so we are hoping for that special someone to come along and welcome the pair into their home. They would make such a wonderful addition to any loving, caring family that will cherish them forever.
