So. Toms River Valet Struck by Bayville Driver

A So. Toms River valet is in stable condition after he was injured Friday night on the job.

Police say Lawrence Husted Jr., a valet worker for the Water Street Cafe, was hit by a 2008 Chevy Cobalt on E Water St. near Robbins St.

Husted Jr. was crossing E Water St. heading back to the restaurant around 9:40 p.m., when 56 year old Joann Toth, of Bayville, hit him.

Husted Jr. was taken to Jersey Shore Medical Center and is in stable condition.
