The conversation I had with my family over the holiday weekend had a lot to do with technology.  As we perused the Sunday circulars together, we saw a huge assortment of tech products for sale and frankly, were a bit confused and overwhelmed by all the options.  Among those you're probably seeing:

  • Smart Speakers/Assistants like Google Home and Amazon Echo
  • Ring Doorbells
  • Home security cameras
  • Facebook Portal
  • And those devices that let you stream TV shows and movies.

Do you use any of these high-tech products in your home?  What do you mostly use it for?  What do you like about it?  What don't you like?

For those of you who don't have or want those items, what's the main reason?  Do you think they are spying on us?  Is Big Brother really watching?  Should we be concerned about giving up some privacy for the sake of entertainment and convenience?
