New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith talks about what's being done about the threat posed by Iran

A United Nations agency report this week is expected to reinforce U.S. concerns about Iran's nuclear program. Congressman Chris Smith says the Iran Sanctions Act was recently strengthened.

"It's like the next step, we've put sanctions on many of their products, we are trying to do more sanctions on their attempts to acquire more fuel," says New Jersey Congressman Chris Smith.

"Our hope is that the more we empower the real democrats…the sooner they will matriculate from dictatorship with ambitions of destroying Israel, to a country that will at least respect its neighbors," says Smith.

Smith met with an Israeli Delegation from the American Council of Young Political Leaders Monday in Freehold and discussed an array of international issues.
