Sirens Will Sound Tuesday at Oyster Creek

If You live within ten miles of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Plant you will hear sirens ringing out, don't be alarmed it's part of the system test done by officials. Exelon, Oyster Creeks' owner, plans to close the Lacey Township plant in October. Oyster Creek is the oldest nuclear plant in America. Oyster Creek went online in December 1969.

The test, of all 42 sirens in the system, takes place this Tuesday, June 5th around noon. Exelon does the semi annual tests in June and December.

YSo don't panic Tuesday, may be one of the last tests you hear from Oyster Creek.
