I know that people who aren't all about hot and humid weather look forward to sweatshirt and pumpkin spice weather enthusiastically, but can we at least get through summer first?

I'm going to give myself credit for one thing here - at least I'm consistent in my complaining.

In the article, I bemoaned the fact that retailers were rushing us through summer and hawking notebooks, folders, pens, and pencils when summer was hardly 3 weeks old, a full month and a half before kids actually go back to school.

Well, let's add another week and a half to that count and marvel at this display that I spotted at Brick's Kohl's:

Yup, you can get your Halloween on a full 65 days ahead of time!

That's 9 weeks.

Two months and another week thrown in for good measure.

And look, I get that there are plenty of people who love fall and the holidays that come with brisk breezes ahead and summer traffic behind. But come on, it's not even Labor Day yet.

But the best part of this whole thing? It still doesn't compare to last summer when I saw a Halloween display out a full 3 1/2 months early!

So, I guess if you just can't wait until the school bells ring and the Bennys head back home, you can get a jump on your black cat and jack-o-lantern decorations nice and early.

Scary, indeed!
