Shots Fired in Asbury Park

Monmouth County authorities are investigating whether a teen being treated for a gun shot wound is connected to a shooting in Asbury Park Sunday night.

Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesman Charles Webster told NJ.com and the Asbury Park Press, a 17-year-old boy was treated for non-life threatening injuries after reports of shots being fired around 9:30 p.m.on Dewitt Avenue, near Springwood Avenue.

No other details were available.
