Shore Towns Receive Subpoenas in Consulting Co. Probe

The State Grand Jury sitting in Trenton issues subpoenas to several shore area towns that have used a particular engineering consulting group.

According to Patch.com, Brick, Toms River, Seaside Heights and Lacey have all been served subpoenas with regard to Monmouth-based Birdsall Services Group. The company was the subject of a search warrant in May. Birdsall Services reportedly did more than $28 million in business with towns, county, state and other public agencies in New Jersey in 2011 and have contributed to political candidates in both parties.
