The event will be held at McLoone’s Supper Club in Asbury Park at 5:30, and in addition to discussions between legislators and constituents, the MODC will use the opportunity to kick off the summer season right on the boardwalk.

MODC executive director Ben Waldron says this is an opportunity for business owners and managers to talk about “issues that are relevant to them in the business community at the shore as well as meet legislators in a comfortable atmosphere where they’re not pressured into any speaking engagements.”

He notes it’s “surprising how little they [legislators] have to meet in that type of environment and that type of a format.”

Waldron predicts shore recovery and coastal recovery will be hot topics.

"Tourism will hopefully have a rebound, it’ll be a different tourism summer but we’re confident everything will be open and running by Memorial Day weekend."
