Shawn & Sue’s Ocean County Pet of the Week-Monty

Four and a half years is entirely too long for Monty to wait to be discovered. Please read about Monty below, check him out in action, then come in and meet this sweet and silly boy!

This beautiful young man is Monty, an 8 1/2 year old boy that would absolutely love a great home of his own. Monty had a home but when his owner became homeless, he could no longer keep Monty. That was way back in April 2012, and Monty has been waiting patiently ever since then to go home. He was quite upset to be uprooted and brought to an unfamiliar place and was downright angry for a while, but with lots of patience and understanding from his caretaker, Monty finally came around and began looking forward to a happy new future. He moved into our free roaming area where he lives with the other cats, but would still prefer to be the only cat in the home. He could actually live peacefully with a cat in a home as long as the cat isn't dominant or going to challenge him, or constantly mush up against him. Monty enjoys being mushy with people but when he's had enough, he lets you know. Same goes for cats. Monty is really such an outgoing, confident, friendly guy that struts his stuff, checks things out, and comes to you for some attention from time to time. He has a great personality and a great sense of humor too. He's an all-around cool cat and he will add lots of joy and happiness to the lucky family that welcomes him home.
