Shawn & Sue’s Ocean County Pet of the Week – Meet Sable

Sable needs a home where she can live out her life happy and loved!  Oh my goodness, look at her tongue - so cute!

Sable will absolutely break your heart. After giving so many years of love and loyalty to her family, she now finds herself in the position of looking for a new home at 12 years old. This chocolate lab was found wandering on a rural road in a nearby town. She had a microchip but the owner never registered her. No one ever came to take this sweetheart home, so she is looking for a new home where she will be safe, loved and taken care of for the rest of her life. Sable is a loving and gentle girl that is so well behaved, mild mannered, and really does not ask for much at all. She just wants a comfy bed to relax on, a caring person to give her some attention, and to take a leisurely stroll and check out the world. Sable has arthritis in her left hip which we are managing with medications and she is already feeling much better. She will need supplements indefinitely to keep her comfortable. Sable is not a fan of small dogs but if you have a larger, well behaved dog, she may be just fine with them. Please consider opening your heart and home to this lovely lady that will love you forever.
