Meet Claudia! It's National Adopt a Shelter Pet Month!
The look on Claudia's face says it all- she looks as if she's wondering how on earth she came to be looking for a new home at 10 years old? Someone let her down at some point. You can see by her "before" picture that Claudia was quite neglected in her former life. She was found as a stray and brought to our Newark facility, where she was given a long spa day, then Claudia came to us at AHS/Popcorn Park to begin her search for a home where she will be given all of the love and attention that she deserves. Claudia is so sweet, kind, and polite, and she doesn't ask for much at all. She is so happy to be given some attention. Her happiness can be seen in her never-ending tail wag when she's prancing around a new room, checking things out. This little maltese/poodle mix may be 10 but she still has plenty of spunk and energy. A squeak of a toy will get her attention and she sits so nicely when offered a treat. She should probably cut back on the treats a little and will need a home where she will get daily exercise to help get her weight down a little. Claudia gets along just fine with mellow, well behaved dogs, and loves meeting new people. She will bring lots of joy to some good family!
