Sharks Spotted Within Feet Of A Jersey Shore Beach

No, it's not our favorite great white shark Mary Lee, but a sighting out of a Shore area beach got the attention of local police and lifeguards.

According to various reports, police in Monmouth Beach received a number of reports of, "sharks swimming 5 to 10 feet off the Monmouth Beach shore" yesterday.

The reports go on to say that the sighting was called in yesterday morning, and that there were no swimmers in the water at the time.

Monmouth Beach officials say that there were at least four sharks, but they could not identify the specific type.
