On this last day of winter, I'm wearing the beautiful scarf shown in the photo.  Yes it's warm and practical on a cold day like today, but it also gives me a warm feeling, knowing that my friend made it.  Just for me.  She picked a pattern she thought I'd like and used wool in colors I love.  The result of her hours of work is something I'll cherish forever.

Receiving this gift got me thinking how nice it is when people share talents with one another. When someone's sick or grieving, it's such a beautiful gesture when people cook and deliver meals.  One of my friends who enjoys sewing will often share her talents by hemming pants for co-workers. If you've got artistic friends like I do,  you probably have their creations displayed in your home.  Perhaps you have saved a poem that someone wrote for you?

These are all lovely expressions of creativity and caring.  So I just want to publicly thank Amy for the scarf and tip my (winter) hat to those of you who share your talents...artistic or otherwise.

Do you have a special skill that you like to share with friends and family?  Cooking?  Sewing?  Knitting?  Painting? Decorating?
