Frito-Lay has announced a recall of several popular varieties of pretzels due to concerns that there may be peanut residue in some of the products.

Among the products Frito-Lay is voluntarily recalling are Rold Gold Tiny Twists, Rold Gold Thins, Rold Gold Sticks and Rold Gold Honey Wheat Braided pretzels.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the pretzels are being recalled because of certain lots of flour that may contain undeclared peanut residue. The flour comes from Grain Craft - the same supplier used by Hostess Brands, LLC, which recently recalled 710,000 cases of snack cakes and donuts due to the same contaminated flour.

According to the FDA, Grain Craft first contacted the administration on April 26 stating that peanut residue had been detected in cookies. An analysis revealed the source of the peanut residue to be a batch of the company's soft red winter wheat flour. Additional samples of the product were tested and also found to contain peanut protein, the FDA said.

On April 30, Grain Craft stopped manufacturing and distributing the flour and later issued a recall to its customers, according to the FDA.

The Rold Gold pretzels that are being voluntarily recalled have “guaranteed fresh” dates ranging from June 28 to Aug. 23, 2016 on the front of the package and a 9-digit manufacturing code below that which that includes the numbers “32” in the second and third position (example: x32xxxxxx), the FDA says.

In addition, multipack products and Frito-Lay products that contain Rold Gold Tiny Twists are also included in the recall including certain packages of SunChips & Rold Gold Mix, Baked & Popped Mix, Fun Times Mix, Baked & Popped Variety Pack and Home Town Favorite Variety Pack. More information on the product codes of the impacted packages can be found here.

There haven't been any reports of illnesses related to the contaminated Frito-Lay products, according to the company. No other Rold Gold products or flavors are impacted.
