Gordon's family asks for donations to the Kelly Gordon Memorial Fund at Boston College in lieu of flowers be made online at bc.edu/give or mailed to Boston College, Office of University Advancement, Cadigan Alumni Center, 140 Commonwealth Avenue, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467.

Family and friends traveled to New Jersey over the weekend to mourn with Gordon's family by telling stories about her. Her mother Lorraine Zimmerman told the Boston Herald, “She was one of those kids that did everything right. If you could model a kid, you would model that kid after her. She was just beautiful physically on the outside and on the inside. She was just perfect … just perfect.”

Jillian Buckelew, praised her best friends as "an older sister I never had."

A Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentrations in Finance, Marketing, and Management & Leadership, Gordon was due to graduate in May. She was a 2010 graduate of Red Bank Catholic and was celebrating a successful job interview with her step sister the night of the accident.

BC spokesman Jack Dunn says the school will "likely" present Gordon's family with her diploma. “It’s our inclination to do that. She was a month away from graduating, and that’s just another layer to this tragedy,” Dunn told the Boston Herald.

Godron was leaving a friend’s apartment and was crossing York Avenue between 84th and 85th Street on the Upper East Side when she was struck by two licensed yellow cabs. The first cab that struck Gordon was traveling south; the second cab was heading north and hit Gordon as she lay in the dark street, according to PIX 11. The two drivers remained at the scene following the incident.
