See What It’s Like To Hit Nearly 150 Miles Per Hour! [Video]

I need to start this with a disclaimer - I'm really not a thrill ride guy.

I'm not into roller coasters, I don't do drop rides, and I can do without the sky slingshots.

But when I had the chance to hop into a hot rod at Raceway Park, I didn't think twice.

Yesterday, Raceway Park in Englishtown hosted their annual Media Day ahead of this weekend's 48th annual NHRA Summernationals.

It was pretty much what you would expect of a media day - a press conference, interviews with some of the drivers, some food to nosh on, but then it got the Raceway Park touch - they started putting us into race cars.

So, without further ado, here's the view from inside the cockpit as I got crushed against the seat when the car went from 0 - 146mph in only 9 seconds.

Actually, I do have one aside - be sure to watch the video all the way to the end. I actually didn't know that I was being filmed when I got out of the car. The look of relief mixed with terror at the very end is 100% genuine!
