A report in nj.com says that business operators have pledged to supply the cost for a 70-foot-wide walkway, estimated somewhere north of $350,000 in Seaside Heights and closer to $800,000 in Seaside Park to accomodate a larger fire zone.

Among the components under discussion to line the rebuilt boards are a new amusement park to compensate for the dormant Funtown Pier, trendy shops and a hotel.
