Search Launched for TR Bank Robbery Suspect
The Surveillance image of a Toms River Bank Robbery suspect is released following a Monday a heist at a Sovereign Bank branch on Route 37 near Hooper Avenue.
According to the Ocean Signal, the suspect entered the bank at noon and handed a teller a note demanding money. Then the man fled the bank towards Cedar Grove Road on foot.
Toms River Police say the suspect is described as a 5″6 white male, in his late thirties, with thin build. He was wearing a dark t-shirt, blue jeans, un-zipped sweat shirt and a dark colored baseball cap.
No weapon was shown.
The investigation is being conducted by the Toms River Police, Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mark Bajada at 732-349-0150 ext 1241.
