SEAR Suspect Snagged

If you've been noticing "SEAR" sprayed onto overpasses, buildings, traffic signs or even earth movers, the Bayville teen suspected of festooning them is now answering to law enforcement on several levels.

Luke T. Trengrove, 19, was apprehended by Brick Township police in a joint investigation with police in South Orange and New Jersey State Troopers.

Police in Brick say that the probe is still open because of the possibility of other vandalism incidents.

Beyond criminal mischief charges, police offered no concrete indication of the number that Trengrove faces, or the nature of the other incidents that might be involved.
