Scotland Yard Investigates New Diana Death Information

The New York Post reports the new information comes from Danny Nightingale, a sniper with  the British Special Air Service who claims that group was part of a conspiracy to kill the Princess in 1997. The allegation came up during Nightengale's trial for illegal weapons possession.

The allegation mirrors the plan spelled out in a new book, The Princess Diana Conspiracy. Author Alan Power tells the Post that her death in a tunnel in Paris “was definitely not an accident, I can tell you that."

His book claims that Britain's spy agency M16,  hired paparazzo to ride ahead of Fayed’s and Diana’s Mercedes in a white Fiat, and to cause the car to drive into the tunnel’s cement sides and pillars by shining a strobe light into the chauffeur’s eyes. Power says the paparazzi was "framed" to make it look like they were responsible for causing the crash

“She was intending to destroy Charles Windsor by releasing embarrassing information about his sexual peccadillos,” Power alleges to the Post. He claims Diana was also pregnant with Fayed's child.

The force stressed that it was not reopening the investigation into the 1997 deaths .of Diana and Fayed, who were killed in a car crash in Paris.

In 2008, a British jury ruled that Diana, the Princess of Wales, and her companion, Fayed, were unlawfully killed due to reckless speed and drinking by their driver, and by the reckless pursuit of paparazzi chasing them.
