LAKEWOOD — A school bus driver was charged with DWI after police said he hit a parked car.

Lakewood Police said Mark Waldheim, 54, of Howell pushed a Saturn sedan about 30 feet down Ridge Avenue near Somerset Avenue, not far from the Lakewood Middle School. The Lakewood Scoop reported Waldheim had just dropped off a bus full of students and was starting on another run.

Waldheim swayed from side to side and slurred his speech as officer Michael Livingston spoke to him. Waldheim told officers he had used oxycodone, but it's not known if it was prescribed.

Waldheim was charged with DWI, reckless driving, and careless driving. He was released pending a future court date
