(Update) School Buses Collide in Howell

Howell Township Police confirm that five students were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries after two school buses collided this afternoon. The juveniles complained of pain, abrasions and contusions following the rear-end collision on  Route 33 just west of Colts Neck Road at around 2:33 p.m.

One of the buses was from Neptune High School and the other from Howell Middle School North.

Howell Police First Aid, Howell First Aid, Farmingdale First Aid, Colts Neck First Aid, MONOC BLS and Monmouth County MAB2 were called to the scene.  No word on the condition of the bus drivers.

An investigation is ongoing.
