In a tersely-termed release, SBA indicated that direct contact will continue by phone and Internet through the filing deadlines for those seeking loans for damage from Superstorm Sandy or the late-January blizzard.

Staffers have been stationed at Ocean County Airport (Robert J. Miller Airpark) in Berkeley Township, the Monmouth County Emergency Operations Center in Freehold, and the Atlantic City Municipal Complex.

Responding to a query by WOBM News, spokesperson Adrianne Laneave said that the decision to close the centers is new, and was reached in conjunction with New Jersey officials, based on the volume of in-person visits each center currently receives.

Application deadlines remain intact - December 1 for home and business owners seeking loans related to Superstorm Sandy damage; April 22 for applications related to blizzard-related property damage; November 22 for applications related to blizzard-related economic injury.
