Saying Good-bye to Dave Sharpe

Our friend Dave Sharpe was on WOBM for over a decade with his beloved animals from the Popcorn Park Rescue Zoo.  He brought smiles to peoples faces every Thursday morning when he joined us on "The Ocean County Breakfast Show".

Popcorn Park lost a very dear friend yesterday. We regret to inform you that Dave Sharpe, or "Ranger Dave", left this world to move on to a better place. Ranger Dave was a wonderful friend to everyone at Popcorn Park, both two legged and four. His accomplishments were too numerous to list. This world would be a wonderful place if everyone had the same love and compassion for animals that Dave had.

Dave was one of those guys who would always reach out a hand to you.  His love for animals was admiring.  I remember calling him on several occasions to see if he could help out with our charities and he was always first in line to help.  I looked forward to hearing his voice every Thursday.  Thank You for all you did Dave, you will be missed by this girl.  The animals' tails are wagging up there just knowing you're there with them.

Dave was a fantastic teacher and pet lover--He will be missed.

Services will be held today from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm at Layton's Home For Funerals 250 W. Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ.
