JSU Executive Director Barry Moll said there's still 20-thousand people displaced from Sandy and he's hoping to keep survivors top of mind with the concert featuring popular faith-based musician Phil Wickham. "He is one of the top contemporary chart musicians in the country and he is currently touring, so we were very, very fortunate to get Phil to come," said Moll.

Wickham will perform two shows on August 2, at the Church of Grace and Peace, 1563 Old Freehold Road, in Toms River. "50 percent of all ticket sales do go directly to the Sandy survivors," Moll said, adding he's hoping to raise $20,000.

The concerts will be held at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at www.philwickham.com/tour.

JSU has been assisting families impacted by Sandy by providing them with new appliances, beds, furniture, essential home items, building materials and construction assistance. They are approaching 1.5 million dollars in assistance given to families in Ocean, Monmouth and Atlantic Counties.
