Risky Roads in Monmouth’s Ocean Township

Two storms in as many weeks leave some scars on roads in Monmouth County's Ocean Township.

Police say the nor'easter brought down trees and power lines that prompted a new round of closures this morning, and several traffic signals are still dark.

Continuing closures include:

·    Bowne Road between Horicon Drive and Cold Indian Springs Road
·    Bowne Road between Deal Road and Matilda Drive
·    West Lincoln Ave between Monmouth Road and Teabury Lane
·    A number of side streets in the area of Carol Avenue and Dow Avenue

Traffic signals are out of order at:

·    Monmouth Road and Corlies Ave
·    West Park Avenue and Monmouth Road
·    West Park Avenue and Whalepond Road

Drivers should treat all intersections with non-functioning signals as four-way stops.
