If you're having a busy, stressful day at work today, I invite you to take a few minutes out to watch this video from Rick Astley:

You'll hear the song in the noon hour on The Ocean County Cafe, but there's something about this video that lifts my spirits.  I hope it does the same for you.  Is it Rick's smile?  His hair? The awesome background dancers?

Astley's new album is out this month.  It's called "My Red Book."  From what I've heard and seen, he's still got his awesome soulful voice, but some of the new songs have a bit of a country feel.

One of my favorite albums of the 80s was Astley's "Whenever You Need Somebody" which included "Never Gonna Give You Up," and "Together Forever."  I'm glad to see he's still making music, touring, and putting that rich soulful voice to good use.  Remember when the doubters thought he must be lip synching to another singer's voice?  After all these  years, I think it's time to acknowledge Rick Astley is "the real deal."  Enjoy!
