Police have spent nearly two weeks searching for a Cumberland County man charged with the grisly death of his estranged wife.

Authorities on Wednesday increased the reward for information leading to the capture of Jeremiah Monell.

The 32-year-old is a resident of the Cedarville section of Lawrence in Cumberland County.

He is accused of killing Tara O’Shea-Watson, 35, in her home on Dec. 19.

His blue Chevrolet pickup truck was found a day later in the area of his home, police said.

The Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday offered a $2,500 reward in addition to the $1,000 reward previously offered by the State Police.

Friends and relatives told reporters that Monell slit his wife's throat in front of their 12-year-old son.

A childhood friend of O’Shea-Watson said Monell had been served with divorce papers on the day police say he killed her.

Anyone with information about Monell is asked to call the State Police Port Norris Station at 856-785-0036 or Det. Mike Legatie at 609-358-1704 or to email the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit tip line at fugitive@gw.njsp.org.
