Reward Being Offered in Lakewood for Hit-And-Run Motorist
Lakewood officials are planning to announce the offer of a $5,000 reward to help locate a hit and run driver Friday.
The driver struck a Township volunteer with Chaverim last Saturday night around 10 o'clock who was off to the side of the road assisting someone in front of the high school on Somerset Avenue.
Police are looking for a white or light-colored 1990-2005 Chevy Astro Van with front right side passenger damage. A photo of this type of vehicle was released by Lakewood Police on Thursday.
42-year-old Moshe Guttman had to undergo surgery at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune after sustaining a fractured skull and broken bones in the accident.
They are also asking nearby residents who have surveillance cameras on their homes to notify police as they may have recorded something that could assist police in their investigation according to the LakewoodScoop.com.
