On this day we come together as a family to remember the tragic events and lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, We also remember the men and women that continue to fight the ongoing War on Terror. ~ Ocean County Freeholder Joe Vicari

13 years ago we all woke to the beautiful sunshine that filled the sky that September 11th. Just a beautiful late Summer morning. I remember being on the air that morning with then partner Lisa Leonard .... when out of nowhere everything changed.

We all pray for those who lost loved ones on what is now known as 9/11 a horrible day in our Nations history, but hopefully a day which made us stronger as Americans.

I think the best thing we can do , now 13 years later .... is to say WE WILL NEVER FORGET.

Today .... Ocean County Freeholder Director Joseph H. Vicari cordially invites the public to Ocean County's Annual Day of Remembrance, 8:30 a.m., Today, Sept. 11 at the Ocean County Sept. 11 Memorial in the courtyard by 119 Hooper Ave., Toms River.
