Barnegat Theft Suspects ID’d, Probe Continues

Two people suspected of buying cigarettes and gasoline with a stolen debit card at two Barnegat Wawas earlier this month have been identified, say police - about an hour after their images hit the Internet.

Barnegat PD Lieutenant Keith Germain says that they're not ready to release the identities, but that department got several tips soon after the images were distributed at websites and the department's Facebook page.

The pair are accused of using the card at about 10 PM on November 3. Surveillance images also showed them in a dark compact vehicle.
