R.I.P. Joan Rivers

Joan Rivers passed away yesterday at the age of 81.  Whether you're a fan or not, she knew how to ruffle the feathers and she knew how to make us laugh.

She had countless jokes and books and of course huge on TV and QVC, but this is what truly made me love her even more than I did in the past.  Now in it's 4th Season..."Joan & Melissa:  Joan Knows Best?" on We TV--a reality show about her daughter Melissa and Joan and Melissa's son Cooper.  It brought a softer side to Joan Rivers that I just love.  I love her as a Mom and Grandma and how much she loved her family.  In a lot of ways I could relate to her..maybe not in the way she would tell the stars how to wear or not wear their clothes..but in the way when she'd open her mouth she would never think about what she'd say...she'd just say it.  It got her in trouble a lot but that's what I loved.

And on We TV this weekend they're running a marathon on the show!  Don't miss it!

In Melissa's statement that her Mom had passed away, she said at the end of it, "My mother’s greatest joy in life was to make people laugh. Although that is difficult to do right now, I know her final wish would be that we return to laughing soon.”

R.I.P. Joan!  You will be missed by so many, including me.
