Kevin Gugliotta, 54, of Mahwah, was apprehended October 20 after authorities in Pennsylvania sent a description of his car to Toms River PD, with an advisory that he might be in the vicinity, according to department spokesman Ralph Stocco.

He is in the Ocean County Jail while the extradition process is completed.

The Pocono Record reports that Gugliotta faces 40 counts of child sexual abuse, evenly divided between pornography possession and distribution, all of which are second-degree felony charges in that state.

According to the published report, investigators in Monroe County, PA, probed a report of multiple uploads of salacious images in July, tracing the IP address to a unit in a house occupied by Gugliotta in Lehigh Township, in Wayne County.

Detectives in Wayne County, reaching Gugliotta at Holy Spirit Church in Union at the end of September, met with him in Union, and charges were approved October 20, the report said.

The Asbury Park Press adds that he is a nationally-ranked poker player. The Hendon Mob poker website lists a Kevin Gugliotta of Lake Hopatcong as ranked number 193 in its New Jersey all-time winnings category.

Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
